Scott Gennings

Scott is very thankful to be joining the team for this epic adventure and to raise money for such a great cause!

Scott has spent the better part of his adult life on and around bikes and they helped shape his identity and life throughout that time. Work and free time are generally occupied by bikes; from riding, to wrenching, to working at the Landyachtz Factory Store, he can't say enough about how much this sport and community impacts his day to day life.

Scott’s bike was his primary means of physical rehab (outside of the Physio and RMT support from Myodetox) and mental health management after being hit by a car while riding in 2016. He suffered a severe brain injury and many physical injuries, with chronic complications that he now lives with every day. This is one of the reasons he is so excited about this endeavor; “when you're given an opportunity to get involved and make a difference after having so many people go the extra mile to help you get back to a place where you're able to help, you say yes.”

We've all had cancer touch our lives and have lost loved ones along the way. Raising awareness for ovarian cancer is such an important cause and Scott is very proud to be involved in supporting Bianca's mission!

Travis Tomlin

Travis is a Vancouver based physiotherapist, practicing out of Rebounce Physio. A recovering bike racer, he's raced locally for the last half decade and has recently expanded his physical horizons into the worlds of rock climbing, running, and skiing, in an attempt to be a slightly more balanced person.
Travis was connected with Bianca through David and Justina. This meeting was beautifully serendipitous, as her amazing cause and energy was fully absorbed and appreciated - providing a blazing beacon of purpose and inspiration that he couldn't help but follow.

Karen Auyeung

I was so inspired to hear of what Bianca has accomplished over the last few years that I just needed to find a way to join the team. I am a nature-loving, dog-obsessed, registered psychologist who loves spending her time running and climbing in the great outdoors. I was born and raised in Toronto and transplanted to Vancouver in 2010. To be honest - I was actually afraid of riding bikes for the longest time until I (and my partner) forced myself to take advantage of the amazing cycling and mountain biking opportunities we have living in beautiful BC. I am constantly inspired by people like Bianca who not only direct their energy towards supporting important causes, but also have the skill and mental fortitude to do things like ride across the country!

On top of pushing for this amazing athletic accomplishment, Bianca is bringing much-needed awareness to Ovarian Cancer – something that I, like many others, did not know that much about. In my practice, one of the common struggles I hear among women of all ages is the anxiety about going to the doctor. Women often fear and regularly experience not being taken seriously, their concerns and symptoms dismissed, and/or doctors not fully understanding women’s health in order to properly diagnose or treat them. Most people I’ve spoken to did not realize there is currently no reliable screening test for Ovarian cancer or that it is one of the most deadly cancers for women. The more awareness we can bring to things like Ovarian cancer, which so significantly affect women across the world. I am thankful for this opportunity to support Bianca and this important cause and can’t wait to see how her adventure goes!

Chris bruckner

My name is Chris Bruckner. I am a former professional cyclist, health care professional, coach, and philanthropist. In the summer of 2019, I set a new world record for cycling across Canada in support of the Canadian Mental Health Association. I also founded and oversee a cycling club in the Canadian Arctic called the Inuvik Cycling Club.

My goal is to promote physical and mental wellness through sport, and to create strong and meaningful relationships among those I serve.

Jason Wong

Jason is a seasoned physio and part owner of Myodetox Fraser. His cycling journey started during his university days, when he grew tired of waiting for the bus in the rain and decided to take his commute into his own hands. With every ride, he grew more and more in love with the freedom and the adrenaline of life on two wheels. Whether it's racing friends to street signs, riding epic gran fondos, or pedalling to nowhere to cope with the loss of a loved one, cycling has always been an outlet to cope with the highs and lows of life.

Jason first met Bianca in August 2020 from a referral from Scott, one month after her first successful attempt at cycling across Canada. As her physio at the time, he spent two and a half months rehabbing Bianca’s injured hands back to full health. Since then, Jason and Bianca have become good friends and continue to ride together with The Last Drop Cycling Club. Jason is very thankful for this opportunity to join the team as physio once again to help Bianca on this exciting Guinness World Record attempt.  He loves helping others achieve their physical goals and was thrilled to have this opportunity to support this meaningful cause.
